Ed Kramer – Virtually – at MileHi Con Denver Oct 23, 2020
Ed will present his "Wizards of Hollywood" talk, highlighting early milestones in CGI and some of the pioneering artists from Industrial Light + Magic and other studios. MileHiCon is an annual science fiction/fantasy convention held in Denver, Colorado in October. It is primarily literary, although it also has an art show, vendors' room, the Critter Crunch (similar to Robot Wars), the Critter Float-illa (robotic competition in the hotel pool), a video room, anime room, masquerade, gaming, bat'leth tournament, and programming on science, writing, literary, media and fannish topics. RMCAD Nexus Speaker – Ed Kramer
Visual Effects Artist Ed Kramer will be speaking virtually at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design's student club meeting, NEXUS, on 20 November 2020. He will do his "Wizards of Hollywood" presentation, and take student questions about his career at Industrial Light + Magic. Ed is Associate Professor in the Animation program at RMCAD, and is also serving as Chair of the SIGGRAPH Pioneers Group.
